About Me

Not to blow my own trumpet, but...

Having graduated from university with First Class Honours in Film and Visual Media in 2006 (gaining two awards in the process), I lived and worked in London for 4 years developing multimedia skills and furthering my knowledge of web design and development.

In my position with Digital Annexe as Web Content Manager, I managed content for the numerous Mercedes-Benz websites based in the UK (national and retailer level). My responsibilities revolved around creating compelling web pages, maintaining the accuracy of content and managing the workload of colleagues. This involved writing/proofing copy, image manipulation in Adobe Photoshop and uploading content through a CMS, as well as developing marketing strategies and creating HTML emails. I was also called upon to update the main Digital Annexe website, which involved editing HTML and CSS as neccessary.

In my current role with Champions (UK) Plc as Web Designer / Front-end Developer, I am responsible for delivering websites from design concept through to the finished product. This requires a creative mindset along with the development skills I have picked up over the years. I am well-versed in the following web languages and systems:

PHP & MY SQL (intermediate level)
MAMP, WAMP and XAMP as required

Adobe Flash 8 and above (I am an Adobe Certified Associate for Flash CS4)
